Upside Down

The piece was commissioned by Tasos Siamidis—who, unbeknownst to him, also served as the inspiration for the series’ theme—and belongs to him; it was created for the “BLE” café-bar.

The artwork speaks to the ups and downs of human life without focusing on anything specific (the “up” and “down” could refer to strokes of bad or good luck that shape our entire lives, or they could allude to temporary situations or even fleeting moments).

Thus, within the shadow, two human profiles are discernible, positioned upside-down relative to one another.
