“What we see is always less than what we look”
Greek born and raised Triantafyllos Vaitsis, before turning fully to arts, studied and worked as an Environmental Engineer. From the early stages of his life he explored various forms of art, as an amateur, such as wood carving, complicated constructions with wire and metal, painting, theatre and poetry.
In 2008 he was introduced to Trash Art. Fascinated by it and seeking various techniques to delve deeper, he came across a “shadow sculpture”. Since then, he has been exclusively involved in Shadow Art, quit his former job as an engeneer and has created 135 shadow sculptures so far.
